one of two original and intact c. 1950's american vintage industrial four-legged bent tubular steel stationary stool designed and fabricated by lyon metal products inc., aurora, il. the completely refinished swivel stool contain a brushed and sanded metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the spacious square-shaped seat with rolled edges remains in great condition. the rigid bent tubular steel base with welded joint footrest is structurally sound and stable. the seat height is adjusted by loosening the dial found where the legs are joined together. the telescoping spindle moves up and down with ease. the angle of the original riveted joint backrest is adjustable. two matching stools are available. salvaged from a chicago valve factory. seat measures 15 1/2 x 15 inches, seat height 34 inches
