original late 1920's completely refinished american industrial laboratory workbench retort stand designed and fabricated by the fisher scientific co., pittsburgh, pa. the upright stand features a weighted cast iron three-legged or tripod base with centrally located threaded opening for mounting the post. the single solid steel rod is equipped with a single ring integrated glassware attachment that screws into a metal clamps designed to hold beakers and test tubes against the rod. the bracket and ring are comprised. the entire scientific apparatus has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great for display purposes.
