exceptional vintage american machine age c. 1940's streamlined style stationary student desk comprised of pressed and folded furniture sheet steel. the robust "h-frame" constructed desk contains a single pull-out drawer and unique open-ended "bookbox" accessible from the side. the pressed steel square-shaped drawer pulls with recessed centers are original and intact. fabricated by the simmons manufacturing co., kenosha, wi. the uniform brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat finish. measures 34 1/2 x 21 x 30 inches.
