original late 1880's single antique american residential pocket door hardware set likely designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the hardware set consists of a single working mortise lock with ornamented cast iron face and two matching pocket door backplates or escutcheons with deeply recessed cup handles. the hardware has been refinished and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. priced for the lot. mortise lock measures 7 3/4 x 1 x 3 1/2 inches. escutcheon measures 2 x 5 x 1/2 inches.
