original and intact c. 1950's vintage industrial stationary factory metal shop workbench designed and fabricated by the standard pressed steel co., jenkintown, pa. the "hallowell" channeled steel legs contains flared feet with pre-drilled holes for mounting against the floor. the base consists of a single horizontal stretcher and oversized undershelf doubling as a footrest. the tabletop is comprised of cold-rolled sheet steel with brushed metal finish. the detachable three-sided rail guard is designed to prevent spillage. older bright blue paint finish largely intact. measures 72 x 29 x 33 1/2 inches.
