original and intact late 1950's american flush mount interior chicago commercial building elevator push button backplate fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york. the rectangular-shaped push button backplate is comprised largely of stainless steel with intact protruding amber colored molded plastic directional arrow buttons (originally illuminated from the backside). surface wear consistent with age. 10" x 3".
