early 1940's vintage american medical lightweight interior hospital operating room mobile supply cart designed and fabricated by the shampaine co., st. louis, mo. the original sliding drawer with grooved pull or handle remains in great working condition. the lower tiers or undershelves are tightly affixed to the angled steel legs. original bassick swivel casters consisting of hardened rubber wheels and steel forks. the pressed and formed cold-rolled steel cart has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. excellent overall condition. salvaged from the old cook county hospital (chicago, il.). 24 x 16 x 33.5"
