original c. 1920's american antique industrial repurposed factory workshop compartmentalized lathe machine side or occasional table. the heavily reinforced thick steel stationary cabinet is equipped with two sliding drawers with original bronze knob pulls. the weighted cabinet has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a cleat coat lacquer. the newly added solid cherry wood top is tightly affixed to the base. the refinished machine base was fabricated by or for the south bend lathe works, south bend, ind. base measures 17 1/2 inches x 16 inches, height measures 28 1/2 inches, table top measures 19 inches x 13 1/2 inches.
