one of two highly ornate 19th century original antique american single interior residential window sash lock and matching keeper designed and manufactured by the p.& f. corbin hardware co., new britain, ct. the fully functional double-hung sash fastener contains extravagant design motifs typical of the victorian era. the turned bronze finials located at the base and end of the pivoting arm are most impressive. the locks were offered in corbin's 1874-76 hardware catalog. two available. priced individually. together the components measure 3 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
