single mid-nineteenth century original and completely intact privy dug teal green glass mineral water iron pontiled bottle manufactured for andrew mcfarland of philadelphia, pa. the glasshouse fabricator is not known. the deeply embossed lettering is clear and legible, with the bottler’s name and city of manufacture. the applied blob finish or collar remains in great condition, with some concentric tooling marks. the base has a deep cylindrical kickup that retains a ring of graphite from manufacture with iron pontil. the bottle exhibits allover seeding or bubbles, straw marks and spots of discoloration. the mold seams are very visible.
