original and intact american single electric "exit" pendant light fixture salvaged from a chicago theater long since demolished. the illuminated ceiling mount fixture is comprised largely of "hammered" wrought steel with intact black enameled finish. the ruby red glass inset contains deeply incised art deco style lettering. the twisted rope motif stem or pole and tapered canopy are original to the fixture. the spanish revival style fixture was likely fabricated by or for the chicago stage and lighting co., chicago, il. completely rewired. measures 11 x 4 1/2 x 36 inches.
