exceptional american depression-era single art deco style machine age interior illuminated exit light fixture designed and fabricated by the mcphilben mfg. co., brooklyn, ny. the original spun aluminum shade fitter is comprised of two overlapping components designed to hold the shade and house the single socket. the distinctive convex-shaped ruby red glass lens contains deeply etched lettering with the original baked white enameled finish very much intact. a very striking and sought after style of exit light from that time period. fully functional and ready for immediate installation. measure 8 inches in diameter
