original 19th century antique american majolica glazed green olive colored fireplace tile surround designed and fabricated by the trent tile company, trenton, nj. the tile surround consists of individual 6 x 6 inch tiles with lightly embossed leafage and vines with single figural tile at center. the richly clored tiles exhibit an allover crazing consistent with age. the salvaged chicago interior residential tile surround is in good overall condition, considering age.
