late 1880's antique american eastlake style drum-shaped "bamboo" pattern oversized doorknob designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the single american aesthetic style doorknob contains a black enameled inlay (applied to the recessed regions) to accentuate the casting detail. the entry door andle contains a mostly uniform surface patina. the recessed rim doorknob remains in great overall condition. salvaged from a chicago victorian era residence. measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
