1870's ornamental cast brass circular-shaped post-fire chicago residential pocket door door plates with black enameled inlay

late 1870's antique american ornamental cast brass interior residential pocket door escutcheons or backplates. likely manufactured by russell & erwin or possibly the p. & f. corbin company. the two handles contain deeply recessed "cups" for pulling the door from its pocket. the mostly uniform black enameled inlay accentuates the casting detail. design motifs exhibited consistent with the time period. measure approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter. priced for the pair.
